Compare jacquard and satinSTART WITH THE GARMENT
Jacquard refers to pattern created through the woven construction. It should not be confused with embroidery, where decoration is stitched onto a base, or sequins attached to a ground fabric.
Review motif scale, placement, body and movement at full garment size.
Compare structure, reverse face and fray behaviour for the intended construction.
Check pattern repeat, cutting yield and alignment before costing.
DEVELOPMENT CHECKLIST
Final suitability depends on the exact article and your garment construction. These checkpoints make quotations and sample approval more reliable.
Verify that the motif is woven into the cloth; embroidered or sequin-applied articles belong to different categories.
Obtain pattern repeat and usable-width information for marker planning.
Approve whether the cloth provides the desired body without excessive stiffness.
Inspect both faces and test seam, pressing and edge-finishing behaviour.

BUYER QUESTIONS
A jacquard motif is formed by the woven construction. Embroidery is stitched onto a base fabric, and sequin embroidery includes attached decorative elements.
Repeat size affects placement, matching and cutting yield, so it should be included in development and costing.
We can shortlist directions from a clear image and brief, but final technique, colour, scale and handfeel must be approved with a physical sample.
